KADAPA: PCC president Botcha Satyanarayana called upon masses to teach a lesson to persons who think they can do anything with wealth amassed illegally and are ready to do anything to quench their power thirst. The masses should understand the reason as to why byelections have become imminent for 18 assembly seats and who all are responsible for it. "It is only due to the power craze of a single individual that democracy in the state has been left shame faced," he remarked. Interacting with mediapersons, here on Wednesday, after paying floral tributes to Jyothiba Phule on the occasion of latter's birth anniversary, Satyanarayana said that those power-thirsty person are depending on 'sympathy wave', but it will not work at all times. The voters should stop these forces, which are seeking to topple the government elected by the masses themselves. He said that voters had been vexed with 9 years of TDP rule and had placed faith in "Indiramma Rajyam" and had elected Congress, which was going ahead with welfare and development, as its main agenda. "I thought voters here will support YSRC, but they are with Congress," he said and claimed that Congress cadres are ready to fight it out in the elections and win.He criticised YSRC chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and said that Jagan was only concerned with increasing his assets and was not concerned about the masses as he claimed. Botcha said that if the masses fell under his spell, it will destroy their future. He said that YSR was chief minister for seven years and after his demise, the criticism levelled against him is not true. "For decisions taken in the cabinet since 2004, every one in the cabinet is responsible," he said, but in the same voice added that cabinet is not responsible for those behind the screen deals. He hailed the decision of chief minister to implement SC, ST sub-plan and said that no other government had done so before. "Any scheme will be introduced with approval of AICC and its orders," he said. When he was questioned why the government was not ensuring proper power supply to farmers, he said that the state government was committed to giving free power for 9 hours to farmers. On being asked whether the Congress party had decided to make criticism of YSR the main issue during  election campaign, he said that there was no such decision.Ministers C Ramachandraiah, NMD Ahamedulla and others were present on the occasion.
